MEW Incredible album, beautiful balance of ambient calm and invigorating verve. Can’t wait for the next release!

Berkdrums Wow…, what a stunning album!, and a terrific collaboration again… Some moments remind me of the late great Michael Allison (Darshan Ambient).. Miss him so much in the ambient-landscape. This album to me is such a refreshment among all the ambient-releases from the last year or so. This is going on repeatmodus here. Thanks guys!!

rdisanto A wonderful collaboration — a surprisingly rhythmic one, too — that moves and sometimes crosses those mysterious lines between calmness and tension, melody and ambience.

chris coote An interesting new tangent from Apk..having previously worked on this project to create an album many years ago here is a new set of pieces.
Different colours..sounds rhythms..a slight note of Apks classic personal touch but something very different . Favorite track: A New Beginning.

about

The Hive Project is Jeremy Rice (USA) and Anthony Paul Kerby (Canada). This is their second release. The first was composed way back in 2001, and was released on DataObscura in 2006 under the title "Conversations With The Queen." Jeremy releases on Bandcamp as Abdicant, and Curious Inversions.

This new Hive Project release combines beats, pads, strings, curious noises, and of course leads, for a more dynamic, but still immersive and moody, ambient electronica.

Division of labour for this project is roughly :
JR - percussion, plucks, pads
APK - leads, pads, strings, noises

Mastering and design by APK.
Cover photograph by Angela Weiser.
