Richard Gürtler ...monstrous heavy drones with watery sounds and occasional mysterious voice samples submerge "The Clarity Of Darkness" into the great depth of oceanic abyss to venture into the world of eternal darkness. Heavy drone wizardry by Nunc Stans at its best...

"Peninsula" album is a skillfully crafted and polished work offering to each attentive listener deliciously rewarding sonic experience. Turn out the lights, turn up the volume and immerse yourself in this beautifully scenic journey!!!
SCOTT thumbnail
SCOTT I used to live near a lake with a narrow peninsula I could walk out on and find myself "immersed" in a different place; this album does the same thing for me in my mind by providing a spark for my imagination so I can "travel without moving" (to borrow a Frank Herbert phrase). Favorite track: November Rain.

Composed during the second half of 2011 using a variety of synthesisers (hardware and software), guitar, and occasional field recording.

Nunc Stans is Anthony Paul Kerby (Canada).
